Threw the fleeting memories in my mind

I wander in the depths of despair

I recall opening my heart

To your hopes and dreams

Seems yesterday has slipped away

Into the past, my thoughts roam

As a flowing rainbow of

Endless longing

Knowing where we are,

Remembering where we’ve been

Into an unknown future

Scattered thoughts continue surging

Seemingly endless tribulations ahead.

Overwhelming emotions prevailing

Never knowing the direction

Their path will take me

I hear your thoughts in my mind

Soothing words of hope.

A gentle voice guiding me

Threw my perilous journey.

Not knowing what tomorrow will bring

Be it sadness with tears or

Peace of mind amid joy.

I never know what lies ahead

Words escape me from time to time.

Searching for answers, I find

Glimpses of inspiration

Temporarily rising, only

To fade into oblivion.

Once again lost in murky memories,

Of a painful past, filled with sorrow

Striving to invade my mind.

Torment my constant companion

Pouncing at every given opportunity.

Following me into my dreams.

Walking with me always,

No escaping its grasp.

To find silence in my mind would

Enable me to fathom

The wisdom needed to heal
